Scenario

An agnostic sex podcaster and a new rabbi fall in love and find out if their relationship can survive their completely different lives and meddling families. The episode was originally called “Shiksa,” which is also the last word in the first episode. I really liked that one! Rom-coms always follow the same formula, but this one has so many strong points – + I FELT the chemistry between the leads. It felt natural and harmonious. They played the characters so well! + The dialogue and relationships between the characters seemed funny, witty, and touching in the best way. + In a world that encourages representation, this was the first time I saw a Jewish man involved with a mistress. I think it showed beautiful, inclusive parts of the religion without putting them on a pedestal in any way. A great script, great cast, and amazing chemistry had me watching the episode in one sitting and then quickly searching “Will there be a season 2?” I thought that was great!
